It's a shame, the recent All Star Game showed the world that Raleigh is a
hockey city. Maybe they're too busy rooting for the 'Canes, especially as
they are once again sitting on the edge of making the playoffs.

In any event, welcome to North Carolina. My elder brother is a
transplanted Philadelphian and has season tickets to the 'Canes. He is now
trying to lure his son down to this area.

Transplanted Islander fan here - slowly warming up the Hurricanes.
USENET news in general has fallen out of favor, so that's why you
don't see much traffic here.
